Munich, Germany – the LRE Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Henrik Schimmell as Non-Executive Chairman and Dr. David Martyr as Non-Executive Director to the Board of LRE Group. Dr. Schimmell will also join the Beirat of LRE Medical GmbH.
Dr. Henrik Schimmell, who has a PhD in Telecommunications Technology from the Danish Technical University, joins as active Chairman bringing more than 15 years of experience in Point-of-Care diagnostics. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Radiometer (a Danaher company), where he built the company to USD +1bn revenues and market leadership positions in addressed markets. Prior to this, Henrik served as Senior Vice President at GN ReSound (GN Hearing), a leading hearing instrument company, responsible for R&D activities across Denmark, US, the Netherlands, and China. Henrik currently serves as Non-Executive Director at the telecommunications company RTX A/S.
Dr. David Martyr, who has a PhD in High Power Lasers joins as Non-Executive Director of the Board. David has +25 years experience within In Vitro Diagnostics and Life Science Tools. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Tecan, a global provider of laboratory automation and diagnostic solutions. Prior to this, David served as Group President at Leica Microsystems and concurrently as VP Life Science and Diagnostics at Danaher. David currently serves as Chairman for Sebia Diagnostics, BBI Solutions, CrestOptics and Rayner Surgical, as well being a member of the Novo Advisory Group at Novo Holdings.
